Shipping, Returns & Tax Policy
Put simply, if you’re not completely happy with your purchase we’ll do whatever we can to make it better. Here are some options:
Order Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your order please email support@adaptdefy.com as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been dispatched we will cancel it and arrange a refund. If it has already shipped, you will have to send it back to us at your cost and the Exchange and Refund Eligibility conditions below will apply.
Change of Mind
If within 7 days of receiving your LapStacker you change your mind, we will accept a return provided the packaging is unopened and in as new condition. We will send return shipping details or a prepaid shipping label. If you are supplied with a prepaid shipping label the cost of this will be deducted from your purchase refund in addition to a $US2.50 restocking fee that is charged by our fulfilment provider. After 7 days no refunds for change of mind will be accepted.
LapStacker doesn't fit your chair
If after working with us to support you with the installation LapStacker still doesn't work well on your chair we can offer you a full refund within 14 days after the delivery date. We will either create a return shipping label for you and deduct this cost from your refund or instruct you to arrange return shipping at your cost. We suggest you check the fitting guide first and reach out to support if you are still unsure if it will work on your wheelchair before making purchase. This will save everyone time and energy. LapStacker Gift Card Refunds
If you purchased a LapStacker gift card and the person you’re giving the gift to cannot for good reason use the gift card, i.e they cannot fit the LapStacker to their wheelchair, you are welcome to a refund. Simply send an email to support@adaptdefy.com with the details and proof of purchase and we will refund the original purchaser. This offer is valid for 45 days after the purchase date.

Exchange and Refund Eligibility
To be eligible for a return or exchange your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.
Exchange and Return Process
Please contact us in the first instance and we will provide return shipping details. You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the item.
Once we have received your returned item we will inspect it and email you to notify you if the return/exchange has been accepted or rejected.
We may, in our sole discretion, offer a partial refund for items not in their original condition, or if they are damaged or incomplete in some way.
If the refund is approved, your refund will be processed within 20 working days, and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original payment method based on these terms:
1. If your exchange is for a product that is a higher price than your original purchased product, you will need to pay the price difference before your exchange product is sent to you;
2. a product that is a lower price than your original purchased product, you will be refunded the price difference (less any additional shipping costs) in line with the process set out above.
Late or Missing Refunds
Processing times vary. Please check with your payment provider before contacting us. If you’ve done that and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@adaptdefy.com.
Shipping Policy
Adaptdefy endeavours to ship items within 2 working days of receiving your order. If your order does not arrive within 28 days please contact support@adaptdefy.com.
We deliver our packages from third-party warehouse and logistics providers who will provide real time package tracking.
Shipping Time Estimates
Shipping times are unpredictable and variable. Please expect longer delivery times in peak seasons (Christmas, bigger sales periods, etc…). We appreciate your patience. The times below are estimates only.
We hold stock in multiple countries and consider shipping times with tax implications to sure customers receive the best possible service and price.
Most shipping times are between 3-7 business days, but this varies depending on each country.

Adaptdefy will not be responsible for any delays caused by tariffs, surcharges, or other delays on sending your order to your country of residence. If there is a delay caused by an event outside our control that is brought to our attention, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know of the delay.
Taxes
Depending on where you hang your hat, you may end up paying local taxes and/or duties plus an admin fee when your package arrives. Adaptdefy accepts no responsibility for paying such taxes/duties. We don’t pretend to have intimate or extensive customs knowledge of the entire world, and even though we’ll work hard to avoid your package experiencing problems, we can’t and don’t take any responsibility for any dealings with your country’s customs service.
The good news is, many countries make disability products like LapStacker exempt from import duty. Local taxes vary greatly.
Below are some examples of tax situations in various markets. Please note, we do not accept responsibility for the accuracy of this information and recommend you do your own homework.
United States
There are no import duties on the LapStacker. However, California state sales tax will apply, and other states may also be subject to sales tax.
Canada

United Kingdom
A 20% VAT is applicable unless you qualify for ‘zero-rated VAT.’ Our product prices displayed on the website do not include VAT, as most of our customers qualify for zero-rated VAT.
Australia
10% GST may be charged on purchases
New Zealand
15% GST is charged on purchases
EU
VAT is not directly included in our listed prices. However, for European customers, our shipping partner in China uses their IOSS number to cover VAT, helping to avoid additional fees. Please note that if you select an express shipping method, VAT will be charged separately by the shipping company.
