Order Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your order please email info@adaptdefy.com as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been dispatched we will cancel it and arrange a refund. If it has already shipped, you will have to send it back to us at your cost and the Exchange and Refund Eligibility conditions below will apply.

LapStacker® Exchanges

We realise that selecting the mounting location for the LapStacker® without the mounting components in hand can sometimes be tricky.

If the parts you receive don’t work for you, we will do our best to help you figure out which ones will, and exchange the mounting components you ordered in line with the Exchange and Refund Eligibility conditions.

Our exchange policy lasts for 14 days after the date of delivery.

LapStacker® Refunds

If for some reason you are not happy with your LapStacker® we offer you a full refund within 14 days after the delivery date, provided that the LapStacker® complies with the Exchange and Refund Eligibility conditions.

LapStacker® Gift Card Refunds

If you purchased a LapStacker® gift card and the person you’re giving the gift to cannot for good reason use the gift card, i.e they cannot fit the LapStacker® to their wheelchair, you are welcome to a refund. Simply send an email to info@adaptdefy.com with the details and proof of purchase and we will refund the original purchaser. This offer is valid for 45 days after the purchase date.

Exchange and Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a return or exchange your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your refund or exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please fill out our Refund/Exchange form, and mail the item you’d like to exchange or return to:

You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs of the original purchase are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and items sent back to Adaptdefy are at the purchaser’s risk until received by Adaptdefy.

Exchange and Return Process

We will send you an email to notify you when we have received and inspected your returned item and if the return/exchange has been accepted or rejected. We may, in our sole discretion, offer a partial refund for items not in their original condition, or if they are damaged or incomplete in some way.

If the refund is approved, your refund will be processed within 20 working days], and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of .

  1. If your exchange is for:a product that is a higher price than your original purchased product, you will need to pay the price difference before your exchange product is sent to you;
  2. a product that is a lower price than your original purchased product, you will be refunded the price difference (less any additional shipping costs) in line with the process set out above.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Shipping Policy

Adaptdefy endeavours to ship items within 2 working days of receiving your order. If your order does not arrive within 28 days please contact info@adaptdefy.com.

We deliver our packages from an international distribution hub and offer three different shipping providers depending on your delivery choice. All options are highly reliable and offer real time package tracking.

We offer free shipping on complete LapStacker® sets to these countries: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hong Kong, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea (Republic of), Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, United States, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovak Republic, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam.

We subsidise shipping to other countries when a complete LapStacker® set is purchased.

Shipping Time Estimates

With the world still affected by Covid-19, shipping times are unpredictable and variable. We appreciate your patience. The times below are estimates only.

Free shipping option:  Stone-Pak (10-30 working days)

DHL Express Shipping (5-13 working days)

Please expect longer delivery times in peak seasons (Christmas, bigger sales periods, etc…).

Adaptdefy will not be responsible for any delays caused by tariffs, surcharges, or other delays on sending your order to your country of residence. If there is a delay caused by an event outside our control that is brought to our attention, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know of the delay.

Depending on where you hang your hat, you may end up paying local taxes and/or duties plus an admin fee when your package arrives. Adaptdefy accepts no responsibility for paying such taxes/duties. We don’t pretend to have intimate or extensive Customs knowledge of the entire world, and even though we’ll work hard to avoid your package experiencing problems, we can’t and don’t take any responsibility for any dealings with your country’s Customs service.

The good news is, many countries make disability products like the LapStacker® exempt from import duty, and local taxes vary greatly.

Below are some examples of tax situations in various markets. Please note, we do not accept responsibility for the accuracy of this information and recommend you do your own homework.

United States

No import duty on the LapStacker®

There is a US$800 order value tax threshold, which means that most Adaptdefy parcels will skip in under the radar. Wahoo!

Canada

There should be no import duty on the LapStacker® but we cannot guarantee what customs will do on the day. Sorry.

United Kingdom

No import duty on the LapStacker®

20% VAT is payable unless you are eligible for ‘zero rated VAT’

The product prices displayed on our website do not include VAT as many of our customers are either eligible for ‘zero rated VAT’ or live outside of the UK & EU. If you are eligible for zero rated VAT please enter your name and a qualifying reason in the box on the checkout page. It is your responsibility to check if you are eligible. If you have declared yourself eligible for ‘zero rated VAT’ HMRC advises that you keep a copy of your declaration. If you are not exempt from paying VAT, and live within the Uk & EU, VAT will be automatically added at the check-out stage.

Australia

No import duty on the LapStacker®

Adaptdefy Limited currently sits below the threshold for GST registration, therefore Australian customers will not be charged GST while this is still the case.

New Zealand

No import duty on the LapStacker®

15% GST is charged on purchases
